Steam Solutions The PARAT Electrode Boiler is the world leading solution for High Voltage Electrode Steam Boilers. With steam pressure range of 6 - 85 barg and capacity up to 60 MW, you have the solutions for small and large capacity steam production. This is the perfect boiler to replace your fossil fuel steam boilers with clean electrical heat. PARAT High Voltage Electrode boiler for Steam and Hot water, POWER to HEAT Steam is produced in the water between the electrodes. The internal circulation system brings water to the electrodes in a ratio 10:1 for the evaporation. The output is controlled by a throttle valve that regulates the level in the upper chamber. Steam accumulates in the upper part of the pressure vessel and is released through the main steam valve. If the steam pressure increases over the setpoint, the power is automatically regulated down. An important parameter related to optimal function of the boiler is the water conductivity. The conductivity is continuously monitored to ensure that the boiler gives the correct output. When the conductivty exceeds the selected setpoint automatic blowdown is initiated. High-Pressure Steam The Electrode Boiler can NOW be delivered as a High-Pressure Steam Boiler. We have developed the boiler with a design pressure of up to 85 barg and 30 MW per unit from 6-24 kV. This is the World's first modern High-Pressure Electrode Steam Boiler. By using this technology instead of fossil-fuel boilers, you will be able to reduce emissions significantly. Combined Hot Water & Steam The PARAT Electrode boiler can be delivered as a Combined Hot Water and Steam boiler in one unit (patent pending), with automatic switch of heat mode. This makes the boiler super flexible for every heating central with the need for both hot water and steam. Super heating Electrical steam superheaters can be delivered separately with low voltage supply. Hot Water A district heating network will always have the possibility to receive excess power from renewable energy. This is the perfect boiler to replace your fossil fuel hot water boilers with clean electrical heat. By installing a thermal storage tank, the capacity to receive large amounts of energy is available when getting the signal for grid regulation. Thereafter the energy can be released from the tank when the client needs the heat. Hot water is generated by circulating the boiler water through the upper chamber where the electrodes are mounted. The boiler vessel is pressurized with nitrogen, and due to the relatively low water volume the boiler also acts as an expansion vessel. If temperature delivered to the client exceeds the setpoint, power of the boiler is automatically decreased. The output is controlled by a throttle valve that regulates the level in the upper boiler chamber. An important parameter related to optimal function of the boiler is the water conductivity. Due to our optimal electrode design, water conductivity stays constant and thereby keeps water consumption at a minimum. Our delivery can include piping, control valve and heat exchanger for heat supply to the district heating circuit. Combined Hot Water & Steam The PARAT Electrode boiler can be delivered as a Combined Hot Water and Steam boiler in one unit (patent pending), with automatic switch of heat mode. This makes the boiler super flexible for every heating central with the need for both hot water and steam. The boiler is designed for 6 - 24 kV. Heat is generated by ohmic resistance in the water between the electrodes. The boiler acts as a pure ohmic resistance in the main circuit. The water and the inner container form an insulated zero point in the star connection between the electrodes. PARAT has used this successful concept of electrodes since 1993. Thanks to the electrode geometry the current flux is so low that the electrodes are not worn out. Control system We have used our experience to develop a modern and robust boiler control system on the Siemens S7 Fail-safe PLC platform which is easy to use. The boiler is also available with PARAT remote monitoring system. This enables web-based remote monitoring of the boiler plant from anywhere in the world. This also includes online troubleshooting and upgrades of the control software from PARAT service centre in Norway. Instrumentation can be delivered as 1oo2 or 2oo3.

Technologie INNOVATIONEN Hochdruck-Dampf In bestehenden Industrieanlagen können fossile Dampferzeuger durch saubere PARAT Hochdruck-Elektrodenkessel ersetzt und so die Emissionen (CO2, NOx, etc.) reduziert werden. Mit den PARAT Hochdruck-Elektrodenkesseln kann Dampf mit bis zu 85 bar erzeugt werden. Diese Technologie leistet einen entscheidenden Beitrag zum Umstieg auf eine kohlenstofffreie Dampferzeugung im Hochleistungsbereich. Zero-Load PARAT hat eine NEUE Zero-Load Technik entwickelt, um einen lastfreien Standby-Betrieb zu ermöglichen (zum Patent angemeldet). Dabei wird im eingeschalteten Zustand (Leistungsschalter geschlossen) kein Strom verbraucht - die optimale Lösung zur flexiblen Netzregulierung. Kombinierte Heißwasser- und Dampferzeugung Den PARAT Elektrodenkessel gibt es jetzt auch als kombinierten Heißwasser- und Dampfkessel mit automatischer Umschaltung des Betriebsmodus (zum Patent angemeldet). Damit ist der Kessel die optimale Lösung für eine flexible Bereitstellung von Heißwasser und Dampf. Einsatz auf Offshore-Anlagen PARAT Halvorsen spielt eine wichtige Rolle bei der Elektrifizierung der Nordsee. Derzeit werden zwei Projekte zum Einsatz von PARAT Elektrodenkesseln auf Offshore-Bohrinseln in der Nordsee realisiert (2x12 MW Johan Sverdrup, 2x17 MW (EX) Edvard Grieg). Bei beiden Projekten erfolgt die Versorgung über grünen Landstrom, was zur erheblichen Reduktion der Emissionen beiträgt. PARAT liefert schlüsselfertige Skids, die in Flekkefjord Norwegen entwickelt, gefertigt und montiert werden. Als qualifizierter Power-to-Heat-Lieferant bieten wir Ihnen hervorragende Lösungen für EX-zertifizierte Außenanlagen auf Plattformen und seegängigen Produktions- und Lagereinheiten (FPSO-Schiffe). Reduzierte Installationszeit Neben Konstruktion und Fertigung der Kessel-Anlagen führt PARAT Halvorsen vor der Auslieferung Tests der schlüsselfertigen Skids, des Primärkreislaufs und des SPS-Systems durch. So kann dem Endkunden eine schnelle, reibungslose Installation und Inbetriebnahme der Anlagen ermöglicht werden. POWER to HEAT mit Elektrodenkesseln von PARAT PARAT – Kesseln seit über 100 Jahren Die PARAT Elektrodenkessel werden von unseren Ingenieuren entworfen und entwickelt und seit 1990 in unserem Werk in Norwegen gefertigt. Sie zeichnen sich durch ihre hohe Zuverlässigkeit aus und zählen weltweit zu den bevorzugten Power-to-Heat Lösungen. Aufgrund unserer langjährigen Erfahrung wurden wir mit der Entwicklung des weltweit ersten Dampfkessels zur Netzregulierung beauftragt. Heißwasser und Dampf Der PARAT Elektrodenkessel ist als Heißwasser-, Dampf- oder kombinierter Heißwasser-Dampf-Kessel lieferbar. Diese Technologie ermöglicht den Einsatz von Erneuerbarem Strom in Dampf- und Fernwärmenetze. Zudem eignen sich die Elektrodenkessel hervorragend als Reservekessel zur Dampf- und Wärmeabsicherung. Netzregulierung Durch den wachsenden Anteil Erneuerbarer Energie aus Sonne und Wind kommt es im Netz immer öfter zu Stromüberschüssen. Diese Energie muss genutzt werden, damit für eine stabile Netzfrequenz von 50 Hz gesorgt ist. Diesen Vorgang bezeichnet man als Frequenzregelung. PARAT IEH Hochspannungs-Elektrodenkessel für Dampf- und Heißwasser Elektrische Netzregulierung Die zunehmende Stromerzeugung durch Wind- und Solaranlagen macht eine schnelle Frequenzregelung innerhalb der elektrischen Stromnetze erforderlich. Die PARAT Elektrodenkessel eignen sich zur Primär- und Sekundärregelung. Innerhalb von 30 Sekunden kann der Elektrodenkessel von Minimal- auf Volllast hochgefahren werden. Die Umwandlung von elektrischem Strom in Wärme ermöglicht es, in Zeiten der Überproduktion erneuerbare Energie zu speichern. So ist der Betrieb der Erneuerbaren Energiequellen sichergestellt – die Voraussetzung, um fossile Brennstoffe durch saubere Energie zu ersetzen. Der PARAT Elektrodenkessel stellt das kompakteste und kosteneffizienteste System zur Umwandlung von Strom in Wärme dar. PARAT Halvorsen hat als Erster einen schnell regulierbaren Elektrodenkessel entwickelt, der in 30 Sekunden von Minimal- auf Volllast gefahren werden kann. Zero-Load PARAT hat eine NEUE Zero-Load Technik entwickelt, um einen lastfreien Standby-Betrieb zu ermöglichen (zum Patent angemeldet). Daher eignen sich die Elektrodenkessel von PARAT auch hervorragend als Backup-System - für den Fall, dass konventionelle Erzeuger ausfallen. Dabei sind nur Elektrodenkessel in der Lage in weniger als 5 Minuten auf Volllast hochzufahren. Niedriger Strompreis Auch in Ländern, in denen erneuerbare Energien noch nicht in nennenswertem Umfang in das Stromnetz eingebunden sind, können Sie den Elektrodenkessel in Zeitfenstern mit niedrigen Strompreisen nutzen – etwa nachts und an Wochenenden. Dampf-Lösungen Der Elektrodenkessel von PARAT ist weltweit führend im Segment der Hochspannungs-Elektroden-Dampfkessel. Mit Drücken von 6 bis 85 bar und einer Leistung von bis zu 60 MW ist er die optimale Lösung für jede Anlagengröße. Der PARAT Kessel ist die ideale Anlage für alle, die ihre konventionellen Dampfkessel durch saubere elektrische Wärmeerzeuger ersetzen wollen. Durch den ohmschen Widerstand des Kesselwassers und den Stromfluss zwischen den Elektroden wird dieses verdampft. Fortlaufend wird mit Hilfe der Umwälzpumpe Kesselwasser im Verhältnis 10:1 zur Dampfproduktion im Kessel umgewälzt, wodurch für eine gleichmäßige Verdampfung gesorgt wird. Über die Drosselklappe wird der Füllstand der oberen Wanne geregelt und somit die Dampfmenge bzw. Kesselleistung eingestellt. Der Dampf sammelt sich im oberen Teil des Druckbehälters und wird über das Haupt-Dampfventil abgelassen. Steigt der Dampfdruck über den Sollwert, drosselt das System automatisch die Leistung. Ein wichtiger Parameter für den optimalen Betrieb des Kessels ist die Wasserleitfähigkeit. Um eine genaue Leistungsregelung des Kessels zu ermöglichen, wird die Leitfähigkeit des Kesselwassers kontinuierlich überwacht. Bei steigender Leitfähigkeit wird diese durch Abschlämmung konstant gehalten. Hochdruckdampf PARAT liefert AB SOFORT den Elektrodenkessel auch als Hochdruck-Dampfkessel. Der Kessel kann auf einen Nenndruck von bis zu 85 bar und eine Leistung von bis zu 30 MW ausgelegt werden. Die Anschlussspannung kann zwischen 6 und 24 kV gewählt werden. Dies ist der erste moderne Hochdruck-Elektroden-Dampfkessel der Welt. Diese Technologie kann zur Reduzierung der von konventionellen Heizkesseln verursachten Emissionen eingesetzt werden. Kombinierte Heißwasser- und Dampferzeugung Den PARAT Elektrodenkessel gibt es JETZT auch zur kombinierten Heißwasser- und Dampferzeugung in einem Kessel (zum Patent angemeldet), mit automatischer Umschaltung des Betriebsmodus. Überhitzung Unsere elektrischen Dampfüberhitzer sind separat mit einer Niederspannungsversorgung erhältlich. Heißwasser Fernwärmenetze bieten die Möglichkeit Wärme aus überschüssigem Erneuerbarem Strom aufzunehmen. Der PARAT Kessel ist die optimale Lösung für alle, die ihre konventionelle Wärmeerzeugung durch flexible und saubere Heißwasserkessel ersetzen wollen. Mit Hilfe des Heißwasserkessels können Schwankungen im Stromnetz durch Umwandlung des überschüssigen Stroms in Wärme ausgeglichen werden. Die Installation eines thermischen Speichers schafft die nötigen Kapazitäten, um bei Bedarf diese Energiemengen zwischenspeichern zu können. Zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt kann die Wärmenergie nach Anforderung in ein Fernwärmenetz eingespeist werden. Zur Erzeugung von Heißwassers wird das Kesselwasser in die obere Wanne gepumpt, in welche die Elektroden eintauchen. Der Kessel ist dabei mit einem Stickstoffpolster beaufschlagt und fungiert somit zugleich als Expansionsgefäß für den Primärkreislauf. Bei Überschreitung des Temperatursollwertes im Fernwärmevorlauf wird die Kesselleistung automatisch reduziert. Die Kesselleistung wird über den Füllstand der oberen Wanne mithilfe der Drosselklappe geregelt. Die Leitfähigkeit des Wassers ist ein wichtiger Indikator für den optimalen Betrieb des Kessels. Dank des ausgereiften Elektrodendesigns bleibt die Leitfähigkeit des Kesselwassers konstant und der Wasserverbrauch minimal. PARAT liefert Ihnen komplette Systeme inklusive Rohrleitungen, Regelarmaturen, Wärmetauscher und der Kesselsteuerung zur Heißwassererzeugung, z.B. für Fernwärmenetze. Technische Daten Normen und Richtlinien Der Kessel wird mit CE-Kennzeichnung nach PED/2014/68/EU und nach der Kesselnorm EN 12953 geliefert. Der Elektrodenkessel ist auch als EX-Modell zur Installation in explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen der Zone 2 erhältlich. Die Anschlusseinheit zur Stromversorgung mit Mittelspannung ist nach EN 61936 für Starkstromanlagen ausgelegt. Kesseldesign Der Kessel besteht aus einem äußeren Druckbehälter und einer elektrisch zur Außenhülle isolierten innenliegenden Wanne. Die Mittelspannungs-Elektroden (6 bis 24 kV) tauchen von oben in die Wanne ein. Wärme wird durch den Stromfluss zwischen den Elektroden durch das Kesselwasser (ohmscher Widerstand) erzeugt. Der Elektrodenkessel verhält sich im Mittelspannungssystem als reiner ohmscher Verbraucher. Die innere Wanne bildet einen isolierten Sternpunkt zu den Elektroden. Aufgrund der ausgefeilten Elektrodengeometrie kann die Stromflussdichte an den Elektroden so niedrig gehalten werden, dass kein Verschleiß an den Elektroden auftritt. Dieses Elektrodendesign wird von PARAT seit 1993 erfolgreich eingesetzt. Kesselsteuerung PARAT hat mit seiner Erfahrung als Kesselhersteller eine moderne und robuste Kesselsteuerung basierend auf der Siemens S7 SPS-Plattform entwickelt. Das System ist einfach zu bedienen und kann über eine BUS-Anbindung an alle gängigen Prozessleitsysteme angeschlossen werden. Zudem kann über das PARAT Fernüberwachungssystem die Kesselanlage ortsunabhängig weltweit über das Internet überwacht werden. Das PARAT Fernüberwachungssystem ermöglicht somit jederzeit Online-Fehlerbehebung und Softwareupdates durch den Kundenservice von PARAT in Norwegen. Die Instrumentierung kann in 1-von-2 oder 2-von-3 Ausführung angeboten werden.
